This calculator works out your Child Benefit and the High Income Child Benefit Charge for 2025/26. Enter the number of children and the higher earner's income to see what you actually keep.

The charge starts at £60,000 and increases gradually up to £80,000, where the full amount is repaid. It only looks at the higher earner's own income, not combined household income.

Pension contributions can lower your adjusted net income and reduce the charge.
